Dining at the Golf Club at the Lakehouse Golf Pub
Tucked away yet so, so easy to find, The Lakehouse golf pub is conveniently located at the pinnacle of all there is to do in Sea Pines, found golfside at the Plantation Club, across the street from the Sea Pines Beach Club and centrally located within the plantation.
At the historical Plantation Club--where golfers convene to tee off for play on both the Ocean Course and Heron Point courses--is The Lakehouse golf pub, a delightfully casual pub with the ambiance of a country club, but with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that attracts everyone for its incredible, mouth-watering lunches.
Awash in natural light from the two walls of windows, the pub features sandblasted wood walls, high ceilings and comfortable seating, where every table has a panoramic view of golf, lagoons, bridges and island shorebirds. Ahead is the driving range and open Lowcountry landscape; and the side vista is of the Ocean Course's 9th green, and Heron Point's dramatic finish, surrounded by water--the often-treacherous 18th green.
The menu comprises everyone's lunchtime favorites! The island's "best club" sandwich (and it is the best), thick juicy half pound Angus burgers (with your favorite fixin's...even with sautéed mushrooms, if it's a preference), a Grilled Chicken Monterey sandwich on a Kaiser roll (mmmmm), and one of the favorite fish picks: the grilled Mahi Po' Boy on a sub roll with tartar sauce (oh boy!). There are also the Lakehouse golf pub's signature "Big Green" salads ranging from the simple to the sensational.
The walls are adorned with soft sconce lighting and framed photos of Sea Pines in its early days. A cozy and inviting bar encourages afternoon lingering and visiting, with two flat screen TVs and a happy hour atmosphere all day long.
The Lakehouse golf pub's hours are: Breakfast from 7-11 am; lunch menu 11am-6pm and Happy Hour 4pm-6pm, Bar service daily 7am-6pm.
