Professional Teaching Staff

The real difference between a good and a great golf school experience is the people. Since the Golf Academy opened its doors in 1995, our underlying goal has been to make each participant's experience one that was completely unique.

Legendary golf coach Hank Haney, who joined us in 2007, has personally trained all of our instructors and serves as the Golf Academy Director of Instruction. Our instructors will share with you the same teaching methods shared with golfers on the PGA Tour.

All of us at the Golf Academy pride ourselves on giving you a complete understanding of your golf swing and provide you with a plan to get your game to where you really want to be.

Hank Haney
Director of Instruction

Hank Haney, a graduate of Tulsa University, began his career studying under well-known pros such as Jim Hardy and John Jacobs. After working as either the Head Pro, Director of Instruction or Director of Golf at several large golf operations, Hank opened his own golf instruction center in 1991.

Haney joined the International Junior Golf Academy and The Golf Academy at the Sea Pines Resort in June 2007. He has mentored more than 200 PGA Tour professionals including the world's top-ranked player, Tiger Woods, among others. Selected by Golf Digest as one of the top five instructors among "America's 50 Greatest Teachers," Haney's students have won every major tournament in professional golf.
